Stupid Governments

Here I thought that the US government pulled some stupid crap. Myanmar (Hereafter referred to the older, easier to remember name of Burma) is refusing to allow aid workers into the country. "Yes, we have more than 100,000 dead people, and millions more without homes, but no, you cant come help us"..... uhhhhhhhh.. what??? you have GOT to be sh**in me..... That might be one of the dumbest things I've heard this week. So the UN sits around twiddling its thumbs waiting for permission.

That cyclone is bad news for another reason. The delta it wiped out is a major rice growing center for atleast Burma, and probably a much larger area. Rice was already in short supply around the world as it was, now you tack on the loss of that area, does "oh crap" mean anything to anyone?

*wave*

Yes folks, its true, I have finally gotten around to making a blog post. Yeah, ok, dont get all excited now, the world isnt coming to an end... I think... of course if you listen to Hillary Clinton you would think it was if she wasnt elected president. Like we owe it to her. I think not. In fact I think we owe it to the American people to NOT elect her. "Oh she stood by her man" some how, it didnt seem like that was an act of love. The senate seat she holds is also well known to be used for a quick spring to running for president. Its the same tactic JFK used. "I am going to be elected president... no matter what it takes".. Vince Foster ring a bell to anyone? Oddly convienent to the Clintons when his "suicide" occurred. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, but I'm also a skeptic of 'random coincidence' especially one that is beneficial to someone who could have influenced it as that one. English translation.... if someone has alot to benefit from an event and could have made it happen, odds are they atleast thought about it. That having been said, I'm not necessarily going to vote for Obama either. There are cracks showing in the facade of "change" and that like any politician he may fall into certain tendencies. Right now my vote is going for McCain. We've seen what he has done over the years, and as one of his contemporaries puts it "On those rare occassions that John tries to be self-serving, hes so bad at it that he falls flat on his face". And that came from someone on the otherside of "the aisle". Tomorrow is another step in seeing who McCain faces in November... atleast its good entertainment.
